Altered Portraits

The hardest one to create I believe is the Cracked Face. Firstly becasue I didn't exactly understand how to do it, and then to shape and color the picture was difficult as well.

The easiest one I created was probably the Sepia picture. It didnt really take me long to finish and color.

The viewer would most likely just see it was a picture that looks different than others. While an editor would understand what exactly was done and the proper naming.

I think we will most likely use the backlit image because its something easily done and very pretty.

No I don't think every photo needs to be edited because some are just perfect the way they are, and possibly look better without the whole editing stuff added to it.

Editing allows you to let others see what you see in your head. With that you can make something completely new and different.

Blur Motion

By slowing down the shutter speed on the camera and changing the mode to Manual, you can get a blurry effect in your photo.

First depending on the lighting in the area I adjusted the settings of the camera a get the best shot. After I made sure my subject was moving at a good pace and a certain way so I could get the effect I wanted.

I didnt really edit the photo too much. Really all I messed around with the brightness, exposure, contrast, and saturation. Other than that I didnt do much to the photos.

At first yes, we all kind of struggled to get the blur effect without the whole photo being too blurry. But with a little bit of work with the camera and leaning the settings on the camera more we were able to pick it up.

It was way more easier editing the photo because it was the typical kind of editing when it come to a photo.

Forced Perspective

This is an image of Raymond kissing the Snickers candy bar.

This image uses forced perspective because the candy bar looks large compared to Raymond.

I had Amanda hold the candy bar close to the camera and had Raymond posed so it looked like he was kissing the bar. Later i cropped out Amanda's fingers.

Yes it was hard because I couldn't focus the Snickers  bar and only focus Raymond.

Distance allowed the bar to look big compared to Raymond.

This is an Image of Kay holding up a large pen.

This image used forced perspective becasue the pen is longer and bigger then Kay.

I had Raymond hold the pen close to the camera and had Kay raise her hands to meet the pen.

yes it was hard because I couldn't get the pen into focus and the flash was making the pen unclear.

Distance had the pen look large when it's help up close to the camera.

This is an image of Angie leaning up against a lipstick.

This image uses forced perspective because the lipstick appears to be the same size as her.

I just put the lipstick on the seat of the table and had her stand in the right spot so it looked like she was leaning up against the lipstick and then had her pose correctly.

Yes it was hard because I couldn't get the lipstick to focus.

Distance was helpful because the lipstick allowed it to look large.

This is an image of Raymond eating us.

It uses forced perspective because we look really small where Raymond looks large and isn't reality.

We just had to get positioned correctly and Raymond's hand in the correct position.

This image was a little bit and becasue we all needed to be positioned correctly.

Distanced had us look small compared to Raymond.

This is an image of Kay holding onto a hair tie.

This image uses forced perspective because Kay is small enough to fit into the hair tie.

I had Amanda hold the hair tie up and pushed Kay back far enough to fit into the hair tie and made her raise her hands to look like she was holing onto the hair tie.

It was hard because I count focus the hair tie nor Kay. Also her hand was hard to not get into the shot,

Distance allowed Kay to look small.

This is an image of Raymond and Amanda fighting each other with pen.

The pens look really large compared to Amanda and Raymond.

I had Kay hold the pens up and had Amanda and Raymond line up and pose as if they were holding the pens.

Yes it was hard because the pens cloundlt focus and if the pens focused then Amanda and Raymond couldn't focus.

Distance and having the pens close allowed the pens to look big compared to Raymond and Amanda.

This is an image of Angie standing next to a lipstick.

This uses forced perspective because  its shows how large the lipstick is compared to Angie.

Raymond held the lipstick up and I just had Angie turn to the side.

It was hard to get this image because the lipstick wouldn't focus.

Distance and the lipstick close to the camera allowed the lipstick to look large.

This is an image of Kay being held up by a pair of tweezers.

This uses forced perspective because Kay look the same size as the tweezers.

I had Angie hold the pair of tweezers close the the camera and pushed Kay back. Then had her pose correctly.

The hardest part was to get the tweezers in focus and still couldn't really focus them at the end.

The distance allowed Kay to look smaller.

This is an image of Kay pushing the pole,

This uses forced perspective because Kay looks a lot smaller than normal.

I just used the closest pole and had Kay stand further backs and then pose to look like she was pushing the pole.

The hardest part was trying to focus everyone and everything in the the shot.

The distance gave Kay a small look.

This is an image of Kay thats about to be put inside the bag.

This uses forced perspective because the bag looks really large compared to Kay where in reality it's smaller.

I had Raymond hold the bag from the bottom and out it close to the camera. Then had Kay stand a little back and had her pose like she was gonna get trapped.

This is an image of Angie thats popping her head out from the bag.

This uses forced perceptive because she look really small compared to the bag.

I had Kay and Raymond hold each side of the bag and then had Angie stand in the correct spot just so I can see her head pop out and some what of her hands.

The hardest part was focusing Angie.

This is an image of Raymond holding onto a balloon.

This uses forced perspective becasue its not  an actual balloon and he appears to be flying,

I just had Raymond lay in the correct spot so everything lined up good, And then got high enough to get a good shot.

The hardest part was getting the photo clear enough to see the balloon.

This is an image of Kay holding the photo pass.

It uses forced perspective because the pass looks really large compared to Kay.

I hadRaymond hold the photo pass then had Kay stand back far so she looked really small. The had her hold up her hand so it give off the right image.

The hardest thing about taking this image is focusing either Kay or the photo pass.

This is an image of Kay holding up a pencil.

This used Forced perspective because theres not a pencil so large compared to us human.

I had Angie hold up the pencil then had Kay stand farther back.

The hardest part was to focus the pencil.

This is an image of Raymond holing the sun.

It uses forced perspective because you an really hold the sun in your hands,

I just had Raymond stand and hold his hand up in the right position so it looked like he was holding the sun.

The hardest part was having Raymond in focus and the sun doesnt over expose the image.

Night Street Photography

For my project i decided to do street photography at night. I think it would be really fun to go out and do, as well it was interesting to get some of the photos

To get some images I went around my neighborhood and got some photos and I also went downtown to get more of a tourist street photography.

When it came to editing I didn't do much because I didn't want to change the photo all too much. So i just messed around with the brightness and saturation. They needed this because it was night time so if a photo needed to be brightened a little bit to help see more clearly made the image better.

I learned that shooting at night was a lot more difficult because sometimes it didn't pick up the image you saw in your head because it came out too dark. So I learned how to get the image you wanted my the end of the project.

It was difficult to understand what is exactly street photography. I didn't know if it would exactly pass as street photography or make things confusing.

Overall I think my images came out pretty good and I'm proud of majority of them. I think a few could have came out to be better but i think they all came out good

Im not sure what I would like to do next. I need to start figuring out what I want to do.
